Happy First Day of School

Pete's not so thrilled about the early wake-up time.
Sure, it's technically the second day of school at this wonderful university we attend, but, really, this is the one that counts.  Today, Rob starts the class he teaches this semester.  Written theory, even, not just aural skills.  He's moving up in the world!

Aside from prep for the new semester, our lives have been filled with trying to figure out the whys and wherefores of having functioning vehicles in the house.  Apparently, according to the mechanic: the right front engine mount on my car is out, the left front engine mount is out, the right back engine mount is out, and the left back engine mount is out.  Yes, you read that right.  Essentially, the engine in my car is floating in the chassis.  This is not recommended.

Rob's truck has been out of commission for a few months due to a starter issue that we thought would be both expensive and difficult.  It took all day but, several hours and three trips to AutoZone later, the truck is running just as well as it was when he bought it and I'm relearning how to drive it.  All things considered, I'm doing fairly well when he's in the car, but driving home by myself yesterday during "rush hour" was not nearly as smooth.

Ready to head to school.
Oh, and we got the motorcycle fixed too.  Rob's ecstatic and is headed off to class on it as I write this.  And, lest you think he's channeling his inner time lord, he's got dress shoes in his backpack to change into when he gets to campus.  The shifter doesn't do nice things to good leather.
